SENIOR ETHAN HAMBY
Senior Ethan Hamby has been named the Class of 2026 recipient of Hillsboro High School’s Topper Pride Award. Son of Nicole Wilkinson and Chris Hamby, Ethan is active in football, track, and BTOP. He values the school’s sense of community, saying, “Everyone knows each other, and even if you aren’t the best of friends, people respect one another.” Outside school, he enjoys sports, working out, gaming with friends, and spending time with his girlfriend, Sadie Houchlei. A Denver Broncos fan, he also loves music and his two Boston Terriers, Maisy and Willow. Ethan plans to pursue either medical school or a career in the trades after graduation. JUNIOR ALEIGHA MARBURGER
Junior Aleigha Marburger has been named the Class of 2027 Topper Pride Award recipient at Hillsboro High School. Daughter of Andrea and Zachary Marburger, Aleigha is active in Science Club, soccer, Student Council, and BTOP Council. She says her favorite part of HHS is the staff, praising teachers for their support since her freshman year. Outside school, Aleigha enjoys spending time with her family and younger sister, driving around with friends, and being with her boyfriend. She plans to attend college and pursue a career in healthcare, aiming to become a pediatric cardiologist. Congratulations to Aleigha for exemplifying Topper Pride!
SOPHOMORE DYLAN KOEN
Sophomore Dylan Koen has been named the first-quarter Topper Pride Award recipient at Hillsboro High School. Son of Bre and Nate Koen, Dylan is active in track, works at Subway, and enjoys gaming, creating metal designs, and spending time with friends and family. He values helping classmates and persevering through challenges, sharing the advice: “The hard path might be difficult, but it has a better reward.” After graduation, Dylan plans to join the Army. FRESHMAN SAVANNAH PETRA
Freshman Savannah Petra has been named this quarter’s Topper Pride Award recipient at Hillsboro High School. Daughter of Mandy Summers and Brandon Petra, Savannah plays soccer, enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, and loves math class. Her advice to others: “Do your best.” She also gives a shout-out to “all kind people.” After high school, Savannah hopes to pursue a career as a welder.
