Magnus Wells, Senior

Magnus Wells is the son of Mike and Haley Wells.  Magnus enjoys adventuring in the woods and fishing in his spare time.  Magnus competes in football, wrestling, and track.  Magnus has four younger siblings:  Zander, Tytin, Gabriel, and Mia.  He also has a pet dog named Paisley.  Magnus is also a member of the HHS National Honor Society, Future Farmers of America, and Sources of Strength peer leaders.  His advice to other students is to "participate in all school activities".  After high school, Magnus plans to go to college and play football and track at the collegiate level.  Magnus would like to give a shout out to one person who he feels he owes a great amount of his athletic careers to--his father, Mike Wells.  Magnus reports his dad has helped him to understand his body and train to perform well.  Magnus says his dad has always believed in him and holds him accountable to be honest.  Magnus is proud to shout out his dad as being his best coach and greatest mentor.  

Sabrina Durbin, Junior

Sabrina is the daughter of Anna Daugherty and Troy Apke.  Sabrina has four dogs, 1 guinea pig, 4 mice and an iguana.  She loves animals and nature.  In addition, Sabrina enjoys listening to Kopo and Jpop; and watching anime.  Sabrina has one older sister and two older brothers. Sabrina's favorite part of being in Hillsboro is the teachers because they are like her second family.  Other hobbies, Sabrina enjoys are bowling, swimming, football, basketball and babysitting. She belongs to the Anime Club and HHS Interact Club at HHS.  Sabrina would like to give a shout out to Mrs. Hernandez because she is such a nice, caring teacher that has always been helpful to Sabrina since the first day of high school.  Sabrina's future plans are to become a voice actress. 

Hannah Currie, Sophomore

Hannah Currie is the daughter of Richard Currie and Amanda Crites.  Hannah's favorite part of HHS is being able to see her friends.  Hannah enjoys drawing, reading, and watching Anime.  She also enjoys playing with her dogs and listening to a wide variety of music. At school Hannah belongs to the Anime Club.  Hannah's advice to other students is to "If you keep a positive mind towards even the most horrible of days in your life, you can see all the good things that have happened to you during those days and those will be the good times you had and you'll always remember them. So remember always; stay positive, ever quit on the task ahead of you, never back down on your goal, and never give up on anything and you'll achieve great things."  After high school, Hannah plans to become a paleontologist and discover a new prehistoric life or become a doctor to help save lives. 

Austin Newingham, Freshman

Austin is the son of Jakob Newingham.  Austin's favorite thing about high school is the schedule--he loves moving around class to call and stay active.  Austin enjoys football, track, wrestling and many other activities.  Austin also enjoys reading action filled books.  Austin has advice to others--"never give up, just keep going!"  Austin would like to give a shoutout to Wesley Myers and Caleb Page because they have always been good friends.  After high school, Austin hopes to attend college and complete with a degree in game design.
