• 2015-2016 TOP TOPPERS AT HHS

    The Top Topper is awarded monthly to an HHS student showing exemplified characteristics in leadership, attitude, and direction.  Teachers of HHS nominate students with administration making the final decision.

  • Jordan Hartman has been chosen as the Top Topper for the senior class to start off the 2015-2016 school year.  Jordan's parents are Jerry and Tabitha Hartman.  Her favorite class is Art and in her spare time she likes to watch Netflix.  She likes to read romance novel book and her favorite type of music is pop.  In high school she is involved in the HHS choir and the Rembrandt Society.  Her dreams motivate her in life and her inspirational quote is "Try to be a rainbow in someone's cloud".  Jordan's advice to other students at HHS is to read "The Perks of Being a Wallflower".  She would like to give a shout out to Ms. Kumlin for being a supportive and amazing teacher.  Jordan's plans after high school are to go to St. John's School of Nursing.

    Liz Bell has been chosen as the junior Top Topper at Hillsboro High School for the month of September.  Liz's parents are Lisa and Mike Bell.  Liz keeps very busy at school playing in the band and a member of the Interact Club.  In addition, she is on the tennis team, soccer team and the Scholastic Bowl team.  In her spare time she enjoys reading all types of books and listening to music.  Her favorite song is "Waiting for Superman" by Daughtery.  Mark Fischbach motivates her to succeed in life.  Liz's advice for other students is to stay positive and manage your time well. Her inspirational quote is "there is always a light at the end of the tunnel".  She would like to give a shout out to Mr. Sertich for helping her in accounting.  After high school Liz would like to go to college to be a game and computer programmer.

    Aaron Alverson is a sophomore at Hillsboro High School and has been chosen to be the sophomore Top Topper.  Aaron's parents are Susan and Tim Alverson. Aaron's favorite class is choir but he really likes all his classes this year.  Aaron is involved in operetta and he loves to write his own songs and sing them.  In his spare time Aaron likes to swim and read fantasy books that take you places. His favorite music to listen to is pop.  His talents his parents, his friends and his teachers are his motivational pieces in his life.  His advice to other students is to dream big and work hard and you will achieve success.  His favorite quote is "If you can dream it you can do it" by Walt Disney.  Aaron would like to give a shout out to his teachers and his parents for putting up with him.  After high school Aaron would like to go to college for a career in zoology.

    Elijah Tyszko has been named the first Top Topper for the freshman of the Class of 2019.  Eli's parents are Melanie Tyszko and Jason Tyszko.  Eli's favorite class is computer class because he likes working on computers.  He also likes to play sports.  He is currently playing football and he will play baseball in the fall for the Toppers.  Eli does not really like to read but he does like Rock n' Roll music.  His family motivates him in life and his advice to other students is to work hard at everything you do.  His favorite quote is "If you can believe it, your mind can achieve it" and he would like to give a shout out to his football team.  After high school he plans on going to college.
