• HHS Topper Pride Award 
    Recipients for November

     

    The Topper Pride Award is given to one student from each grade level once a month. Nominations are submitted by faculty for a student showing exemplified characteristics in leadership, attitude, and direction.  It may be an ongoing act and/or one specific and deliberate act of random kindness.  Following teacher nominations, a monthly winner is selected by Mrs. Heyen.

    Alex White is a senior and is the son of Jimmy and Sarah White. Currently, Alex is involved in golf, National Honor Society, and Student Council. In his spare time, Alex likes to golf, spend time with friends, and play video games. Alex likes to listen to Gospel and Rap Music. The person that Alex would like to give a shout out to is Jeff Eickhoff for always pushing him to be the best person and golfer he can be. Alex's favorite part of the day is 6th Hour Forensic Science because Mr. Cruse makes it enjoyable. The advice that Alex would like to give to other students is “Be yourself! Ten years from now you will not care about what someone thought about you in high school.” Alex said if he won a million dollars he would, “Donate it to the place that built me which is Hillsboro Country Club.  Alex would also donate money to build awareness for mental health. After graduating high school, Alex plans to play golf at Parkland College. 

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

     

    Brook Ozier is new this year to HHS and is currently a junior.  Brooke is the daughter of Katie and Trevor Ozier and is involved in Interact Club, Student Council, Scholar Bowl, and tennis. In her spare time, she likes to spend time with her friends and family, and play tennis. Brook likes to listen to almost all music and she enjoys reading fantasy books. Brook would like to give a shout out to her sister Shelby because she is amazing in all ways. Brook's favorite part of the day is Physics because she is with her best buds:  Lauren and Emma. The advice that Brook would like to give to other students is “Have a positive attitude in life.” When Brook was asked what she would do with a million dollars she responded, “Invest the majority and use the rest to start a business. After high school, Brook would like to attend college for something, but she is not sure what that is right now. 

     

     

     

     

    Ian Malloy is a sophomore and is the son of Blake and Julia Malloy. Currently, Ian is involved in baseball, basketball, football, and FFA. In his spare time, Ian likes to hunt and fish. Ian likes to listen to music by Frank Sinatra and country music. The person that Ian would like to give a shout out to is his right hand man Brett Cunningham. Ian's favorite part of the day is Mrs. Powell's Interpersonal Communications Classes yoga activity as well as FFA. The advice that Ian would like to give to other students is “You have to come to school so you might as well have a positive attitude and make it fun.” When Ian was asked, what he would do if he won a million dollars he responded, “He would take care of his mom and dad.” After graduating high school Ian would like to play college football and then become a Western Civ/History Teacher all while coaching football.

     

     

     

     

     

    Josh Ray is a freshman and is the son of Josh Ray and Carol Cravens. He participates in soccer at HHS. In his spare time, Josh likes to play video games, and practice sports! Josh likes to listen to rap music. The person that Josh would like to give a shout out to his friend Will for being a nice person! Josh's favorite part of the day is “looking for people that might need help and helping them”. The advice that Josh would like to give to other students is “To ask people for help when you need it.” When Josh was asked, what he would do if he won a million dollars he responded, “He would move to Canada and take a much needed vacation!” After graduating high school Josh would like to go into the Game Design field and pursue a successful career!
