  •  Isaiah Atkins is the son of Brian and Debbie Atkins.  He is a senior at HHS.  He is involved in soccer, track, FCA, and NHS.  His favorite book is either The Great Gatsby or The Princess Bride.  In his spare time, he likes to draw, play basketball and read. Isaiah would like to travel to Dubai one day and perhaps meet Chris Pratt.  His family and friends motivate him, and he would like to give a special shout-out to his little brother Josiah, “you are the coolest kid in the world!” Advice that Isaiah would give to other students is to work hard; that is the only way to succeed. “Optimists build the future because the pessimists don’t try,” is an inspirational quote he likes. Future plans are to attend a university with a major in graphic design.

Helena Edwards is a junior at HHS.  She is the daughter of Darryl and Peggy Edwards. Helena enjoys spending time with her friends and going on late night drives.  Her favorite books are horror novels and right now she enjoys reading works by Stephen King.  “Take me Back to the Night We Met” is one of her favorite songs.  What motivates Helena is knowing that even if it’s hard now, things always change.  An inspirational quote she likes is, “I am seeking, I am striving, I am in it with all my heart.” by Vincent Van Gogh.  Her advice to other students is to really try not to miss school.  One day gone is like ten things to make up!  She would like to give a shout out to her friend Emma, she is amazing.  After high school, Helena will attend college.

Ryan George is a sophomore at HHS.  He is the son of Michelle Bergman.  Ryan enjoys volunteering at tailgate parties for the FFA.  His favorite genre of books is mysteries because they involve problem-solving. In his spare time he likes to cook and draw.  One day he would like to visit London.  The advice he has for other students is to enjoy life while you’re young and learn to have fun and try new things.  The people that most motivate him to succeed in life are his mom and his grandpa.  Ryan would like to give a shout out to his stepdad.  He came into his life and took him in as his own.  A quote that inspires Ryan reads, “Hard work beats talent when talent doesn’t work hard” by Kevin Durant.  After graduation, Ryan will go to college and study in the medical field.

Abigayle Schaake is the daughter of Jessi OBrian and Mark Schaake.  She is a sophomore at HHS.   In her spare time, Abigayle likes to fish, draw and listen to country music.  Her favorite book is A Child Called It.  In the spring she will be playing on the softball team.  Advice she would give to the other students is to remember that it is not that hard to be nice to someone, one little nice thing can change a person’s life.  People who motivate Abigayle are her mom and grandma.  They are two strong ladies, they are hardworking, and they are super sweet.   Someday she would like to visit Bora Bora.  Her plan after graduating is to become a nurse.
