Topper Pride Award – Celebrating Character in Action

Each quarter, one student from every grade level at Hillsboro High School is honored with the Topper Pride Award—a recognition that goes beyond grades or achievements. This award celebrates students who inspire others through their leadership, positive attitude, and meaningful actions.

Faculty members nominate students who consistently demonstrate integrity, kindness, and a forward-focused mindset. Whether it’s through a continued pattern of uplifting behavior or a single powerful act of compassion, these students make a lasting impact. From the pool of nominees, administration selects the recipients.

The Topper Pride Award is more than a title—it’s a reflection of what it means to create a welcoming and supportive school community. In the spirit of Gandhi’s call to “be the change you wish to see in the world,” this program honors students who actively contribute to making Hillsboro High School a place where everyone feels seen, valued, and connected.
