• Topper Pride Award

The Topper Pride Award is earned by one student from each grade level each month starting in October at Hillsboro High School.  Nominations are submitted by faculty for a student showing exemplified characteristics in leadership, attitude, and direction. It may be an ongoing act and/or one specific and deliberate act of random kindness.  Students are nominated by teachers and the winner is chosen by administration.

A big thank you to local businesses who support this program: Eisentraut’s with the Orpheum Theatre, Hillsboro Subway, Hillsboro Dairy Queen, Hillsboro McDonald’s, and Gianni’s Pizza.   The Topper Pride Award is designed to promote a positive school climate of connected individuals. Ghandi suggested that one should, “Be the change that you wish to see in the world.” The Topper Pride Program recognizes those who exhibit a willingness to contribute their efforts in making Hillsboro High School a better place.
