Welcome! My name is Laura Lessman. I am a 2002 graduate of Hillsboro High School. I have a bachelors degree in psychology from University of Illinois at Springfield, a masters' degree in elementary education from Greenville University, with an endorsement in Special Education. I also have a master’s degree in reading and literacy, also from Greenville University. I started teaching in 2010 as a special education teacher, and have taught k-5 special education, multi-age special education, 6th grade special education, 4th grade, and first grade. I was also an educational diagnostician for one year. 

I have one daughter, Alexis, who is a senior at Southern Illinois University at Carbondale. When I'm not teaching, you can find me running around town and walking my dog, Nole.
