Jaxon is the son of Jessica Otter and Joseph Wittenmyer, and he’s a passionate and well-rounded student at Hillsboro High School. Music has been a major part of his life for the past 5 years, and he shines in Band, Choir, and Operetta.   He especially enjoys the annual March performance with the junior high students. "I love seeing what the future of the program is going to be." In addition to his musical talent, Jaxon is involved in Soccer, Science Club, Scholar Bowl, Debate Club, DND Club, Student Council, BTOP, and Interact Club. He is excited about the new school building opening in the fall, and he deeply appreciates the many dedicated teachers who go above and beyond for their students.  In his free time, you’ll probably find Jaxon learning new piano songs, composing original music or Or cracking jokes like: "Music is my forte." (We see what you did there, Jaxon!)  His favorites are:  Hozier, Chocolate chip cookie dough ice cream,, and a warm day with a light breeze.  Jaxon would like to give out a shout out to Isabella Collins — “She’s not only talented in music and acting, but she’s hilarious and always makes me laugh.”  Jaxon's advice to incoming freshmen is "We walked like dogs day and night, learning on a campus none of you had to hike. Appreciate every step of the journey." Looking ahead, Jaxon hopes to enter the medical field, possibly as a doctor, or pursue a career in writing music for the radio. In five years, he sees himself happy, smiling, and thriving in college — no matter what major he chooses.  We are proud to have you as part of the Topper family, Jaxon!  #TopperPride #SophomoreSpotlight #HillsboroHighSchool
