Welcome to my bio page! 

My name is Mr. Lunz, and I was born and raised on the south side of Chicago.  I graduated high school from Br. Rice in 2000, where I played hockey, baseball, and golf.  After high school, I attended Southern Illinois University, Carbondale for my bachelors and masters degrees. 

My work experience as an educator began in 2007 as a teacher's aide in Plainfield, Illinois.  Soon after that, I started my first full-time teaching position at Boylan Catholic High School in Rockford, Illinois.  Prior to working at Hillsboro High School, I was a school counselor and social science teacher at Murphysboro High School for 5 years. 

The 2023-2024 school year will be my 6th year at HHS and I couldn't be more excited about getting started.
