2017 TOP TOPPERS AT HHS
The Top Topper is awarded monthly to an HHS student showing exemplified characteristics in leadership, attitude, and direction. Teachers of HHS nominate students with administration making the final decision.

Madyson Shreve is a senior this year at Hillsboro High School and she has been chosen as the Top Topper for the month of February. Madyson is the daughter of Shannon and Daniel Shreve. Madyson's favorite class is CNA classes because she learns how to help take care of those in need. In her spare time she loves to paint, play with her little sister and plat the guitar. Madyson enjoys reading science fiction books and her favorite book is Immortal. Madyson is involved in National Honor Society at HHS. Madyson says she is motivated in life by her family and those people who suffer from dyslexia. Madyson's advice to other students is to try hard, manage time well and write everything down. Madyson's favorite quote is "Try, Try, Try, until you can't try anymore. Give it your all!" Madyson would like to give a shout out to Mr. Burke, Ms. Kumlin, and Mr. Vaughn for truly believing in her and pushing her to do her best. After high school Madyson plans on becoming a registered nurse.

Makenzie Bellaver has been chosen as the Top Topper to represent the junior class this month. Makenzie is the daughter of Greg Ballaver and Kelley Hopwood. Makenzie's favorite class is Multimedia because Mrs. Rench is her favorite. At HHS, Makenzie is involved in volleyball, basketball, BlackTide, peer mentoring and Student Council. Makenzie is also active in the Springfield Elite Club Volleyball. Her parents are her biggest source of support and motivation. Makenzie's advice for other students it to get involved and talk to as many people as you can! Makenzie's favorite quote is Jeremiah 29:11-"For I know the plan I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future." Makenzie would like to give a shout out to her Lady Hiltopper Basketball Team for a great season. After high school, Makenzie plans to go to college to pursue a degree in Elementary Education.

Jaron Wilson is the sophomore Top Topper at Hillsboro High School for February. Jaron is the son of Chris and Carrie Wilson. Jaron's favorite class is English because he loves reading and English teachers are usually great teachers. Jaron loves to hang out with his friends, play video games, and hang out with his girlfriend. Jaron loves reading any book that interests him, with a special interest in science-fiction books. Jaron enjoys listening to Viva La Vida by Coldplay. Jaron says his family and friends motivate him. Jaron's advice to other students is to try your best and no matter how hard it gets, do not give up. Achieve your dreams! Jaron's inspirational quote is "Imagination is more important than knowledge" by Einstein. Jaron would like to give a shout out to my friends and my girlfriend Keltney. After high school Jaron hopes to become a professor.

Erin Kistner is the daughter of Denise Kistner and Tom Kistner. Erin's favorite class is health because she is fascinated by the knowledge and what she can learn about diseases and the body overall. Erin likes to play the piano, running and hanging out with her friends. Her favorite book is "This is Where it Ends". Erin is active in Future Farmers of America (FFA), Topper Art, choir and golf. She likes to listen to all types of music and she says watching other people do amazing things motivates her to be a better person. Erin's advice to other students is if you think you can, do it. Erin likes the quote: "If there's a will there's a way". Erin would like to give a shout out to Alyssa Searcy because she helps her do better. After high school Erin hopes to go to college and become a surgeon.
