Mrs. Jessica Olroyd

My name is Mrs. Olroyd, and I am a member of the Mathematics department here at HHS teaching Algebra I and Freshman Geometry. This will be my forth year teaching at HHS.

As a Freshmen teacher, I know that the transition to high school can be an exciting yet overwhelming time. My goal each year is to make class fun and enjoyable while challenging each student to try new skills and learn from their mistakes. Mistakes are proof that you are trying and are great teachable moments for both myself and peer-to-peer teaching.

Freshmen year mathematics lays the foundation for all future math courses and is so vital to student success in High School. I believe that all students can be successful in my class by working hard, putting forth effort, holding themselves accountable for their learning, and asking for help when needed.

I'm so excited to get this school year started! Last year was a blast, and I plan on the 2019-2020 school year being just as wonderful! Go Hiltoppers!!

Below you will find my contact information, a link to my daily lessons (modified and updated daily), and links to our two online textbooks. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you have any questions.
