• 2017 TOP TOPPERS AT HHS

     
    The Top Topper is awarded monthly to an HHS student showing exemplified characteristics in leadership, attitude, and direction.  Teachers of HHS nominate students with administration making the final decision.

    Isaiah Ackles is the son of Christina Monroe and has been chosen to be the Top Topper for the month of March at HHS.  Isaiah's favorite class is P.E. because he enjoys his friends and it is fun.  Isaiah likes to play video games and watch television in his spare time.  In addition, Isaiah likes to read books about the St. Louis Cardinals and listen to country music.  Isaiah works at the nursing home.  Isaiah would like to give a shout out to his teachers:  Mrs. Lomprez, Mrs. Johnsey, and Mrs. Freeman for helping him be the best he can be.  Isaiah says his mom motivates him because she wants him to graduate.  Isaiah's favorite quote is:  "When all else fails, go to a Cardinal game!"  After high school, Isaiah hopes to live in a group home and get a good job.

    Jennifer Seth is a junior at HHS and has been chosen as the Top Topper for this month.  Jennifer is the daughter of David Seth.  Jennifer's favorite class is Anatomy because she thinks that learning about how our bodies function and what keeps us alive is fascinating.  Jennifer enjoys reading, watching movies and YouTube videos, and playing her saxophone in her spare time.  At HHS, Jennifer is involved in Band, Choir, A Capella Choir, Operetta, and Scholastic Bowl.  Her favorite music is pop and jazz.  Her dad motivates her in life.  Her advice to other students is to take the time to do your homework and do it well--it will go a long way.  Jennifer's inspirational quote is "It's trash can, not trash cannot."  Jennifer would like to give a shout out to Keltney Chamberlin for always working hard to get what she wants and for her determination to follow her interests.  After high school, Jennifer plans on attending a four-year university to major in an undecided field of Science.  
  • cole Cole Allen is a sophomore at HHS this month and has been chosen as the Top Topper for this month.  Cole's favorite class is Biology with Mr. Duff because it is a place to have fun but be serious when it comes to completing work.  Cole enjoys shooting bows and hanging out with his family and friends in his spare time.  Cole's favorite music is country and his girlfriend pushes him to do better by telling him to do his work even when he does not want to do it.  Cole's advice to other students is to stay current with your work.  It is better than slipping and having to catch up.  Cole likes the quote:  "Out of all the paths in life, make sure a couple of them are dirt."  Cole would like to give a shout out to his dad because no matter what he is there for him.  After high school, Cole plans to become a diesel mechanic.

    Jordan Gregg is also a Top Topper this month at HHS representing the sophomore class.  Jordan's favorite class is Mrs. Powell's English.  Jordan plays sports in his spare time and if he is reading it is usually a book about sports.  At HHS, Jordan is involved in football, wrestling, baseball, and track. He is also in FFA.  Jordan likes any type of music.  Jordan would like to give a shout out to his parents and his coaches because they motivate him to do better.  Jordan's advice to other students is to not to take any classes lightly.  Jordan likes the quote:  "Success isn't owned, it's leased. And rent is due every day."  J.J. Watt.  Jordan would like to give a shout out to his friends, his family, and coaches for pushing him as hard as they do.  After high school, Jordan plans to attend a four-year college to play a sport and major in Accounting.

    J.J. Carver is the freshman Top Topper for the month of March at HHS.  J.J. is the son of Dawn Motley.  J.J. likes all of his classes and teachers at HHS.  J.J. enjoys watching television and spending time with friends in his spare time.  J.J.'s favorite music is rap.  His mom, brothers, and sister all motivate him to succeed.  His advice to other students is to try your best and not to give up in hard times.  J.J.'s quote is "Imagine with all your mind, Believe with all your heart, and Achieve with all your might."  J.J. would like to give a shout out to his sister because she is very hard on him when it comes to homework; however, it all pays off.  After high school, J.J. plans on going to college in Springfield.
