    Zoey Spinner

    spinZoey Spinner is a Peer Leaders on our HHS Sources of Strength TEAM:
    Zoey is a 15 year old freshman at HHS. Zoey’s hobbies include singing, soccer and playing her flute. Zoey sees Sources of Strength as a group of peers who come together to learn about how to see warning signs and address those signs and said, “We are here to help.” Zoey is interested in helping with all schools activities planning for future campaigns. Zoey believes that Positive Friends is one of the most important Sources of Strength because, “It’s very important to have Positive Friends in your life. It can make you feel so much better about your day and yourself.” If Zoey had one wish, she would wish for less homework. Some fun and interesting facts about Zoey, she loves being in the Opperatta and she works really hard to keep her grades up.

    Jackson Tuetken

    jtJackson is a 14 year old freshman at HHS.  Jackson’s hobbies include sports and being involved at his church.  Jackson thinks of Sources of Strength as “A place where we can shape and form the student body into something more nice and help kids to not bully or be mean.”  Jackson is willing and ready to help with all aspects of Sources of Strength campaigns.  Jackson’s favorite Source of Strength is Physical Health because he believes it is very important to be active to stay healthy.  If Jackson had one wish, he would like to be a little taller.  Jackson is a great addition to the HHS Peer Leader team.

    Sam is a 15 year old freshman at HHS.  Sam enjoys hiking and playing video games.  Sam is excited to be a Peer Leader in Sources of Strength and believes it is a great program that can change the lives of others.  Sam is interested in helping with classroom integration, whole school activities planning and announcements for Sources of Strength campaigns.  Sam is excited to learn more about all of the Sources of Strength.  If Sam had one wish, he would like to live for a very long time.  An interesting fact about Sam that he would like for others to know, he is shy when it comes to talking to new people or meeting new people on his own but he likes meeting new people in groups like Sources of Strength.

    Infinity is a 15 year old sophomore at HHS.  Infinity’s hobbies include art and music.  Infinity would describe Sources of Strength as a “very good group of people that have a desire to help others.  Infinity is interested in helping with art displays and activities for future campaigns.  The Source of Strength most important to Infinity is Mental Health.  Infinity wants everyone to have access to more help for their mental health.  If Infinity had one wish, she would want to be able to travel the world as much as she wanted because she enjoys seeing new things and going places.  Infinity encourages her friends to be involved in Sources of Strength activities. 

     

    Lily Churchwell

    Lily is a 16-year-old sophomore at HHS. Lily’s hobbies include choir, band and music in general. Lily would describe Sources of Strength as “an organization with a goal of making HHS a better environment as a whole”. Lily plans to help with classroom integration, video/photography and social media aspects of future campaigns. Lily’s favorite Source of Strength is Positive Friends because she has really great and supportive friends she can depend on. When asked if she could be granted one wish, Lily said she would wish for “World peace, because we REALLY need it”. A fun fact about Lily, she loves to talk and meet new people.

    Leah is a 14 year old freshman at HHS. Leah’s hobbies include dance, singing and drawing. When asked how she would describe Sources of Strength to a friend, Leah said “It is not something we do for ourselves, it is a group of people that want to get the word out to people and be the classmates that people in the area can come talk to.” Leah is interested in helping with all school activities for campaigns this year. Leah’s favorite Source of Strength is Positive Friends. If Leah had one wish, she would wish to “Be more planned out and productive because I feel like I never get anything done.” Leah loves laughing with people, being funny and acting and brings these characteristics to her role as a Peer Leader.

    Audrey Hemken

    Audrey is a 16 year old junior at HHS. Audrey’s hobbies include cheer, traveling and reading. Audrey describes Sources of Strength as “a group that focuses on strengths when battling hard times instead of the bad.” Audrey is interested in helping with all school activities planning for Sources of Strength this school year. Audrey’s favorite Source of Strength is Healthy Activities. If Audrey had one wish, she would wish to own her own plane so that she could travel anywhere whenever she wants. A fun fact about Audrey, she lived in Germany when she was 5 years old.

    Jesse Balla

    Jesse is a 15 year old sophomore at HHS. Jesse’s hobbies include tennis, dance and music. Jesse would describe Sources of Strength as a group of people helping to solve mental and social issues. Jesse plans to help with art, all school activities planning and audio activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year. Jesse’s favorite Source of Strength and the one she feels strongest in is Family Support because of the strong bonds that she has with her family. If Jesse had one wish, it would be for everyone in the school to be involved in Sources of Strength. Jesse is very positive and almost always has a smile on her face.

    Avery Walden

    Avery is a 17 year old junior at HHS. Avery’s favorite hobby is soccer. Avery would describe Sources of Strength as a large group of students and teachers that have the goal to make school safe and friendly for everyone. Avery is interested in helping with art and video/photography activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year. The Source of Strength Avery feels strongest in is mental health. If Avery had one wish, it would be to help all of her parents' dreams come true. An interesting fact about Avery is that she has a very rare and unique birthmark on her leg. Avery is a positive Peer Leader and tries to keep other Peer Leaders engaged and involved in activities.

    Cheyenne Harston

    Cheyenne is a 14 year old freshman at HHS. Cheyenne enjoys basketball and choir. When asked how Cheyenne would describe Sources of Strength to a friend, Cheyenne said “I would tell them it is a program to help and teach kids about mental health and other things in our daily lives that some people struggle in and others don’t, and we use sources of strength to help people find their strengths and grow in areas they are not strong in.” Cheyenne is interested in working on all schools activity planning, social media and audio activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year. Positive Friends in Cheyenne’s favorite Source of Strength. Cheyenne has a group of friends she trusts and knows will be there when she needs them. If Cheyenne had one wish, she would wish for people to learn to treat other people with the respect they deserve. Cheyenne brings energy and enthusiasm to the peer leader team.

    Reider is a 15 year old freshman at HHS. Reider enjoys singing and playing the ukulele. “We are a group of students and teachers that spread awareness through positivity. We show our strengths so others can find theirs” is how Reider describes Sources of Strength. Reider is interested in helping with art displays and all school activities planning for Sources of Strength Campaigns this school year. Positive Friends is the Source of Strength Reider feels strongest in because Reider has a group of friends that are really good at lifting each other up and helping each other be their best. If granted one wish, Reider would be for her cat that has been missing to return home. Reider is a kind student and peer leader.

    Jakira Terry

    terryIntroducing Sources of Strength Peer Leader Jakira Terry who is a 17 year old senior at HHS. Jakira enjoys hanging out with her friends and family. When asked how she would describe Sources of Strength to a friend, Jakira said “Sources of Strength is a supportive group of people that want to make a change in the world and in the school. They make it their mission to help students in any way possible by ensuring the best for students.” Jakira plans to help with art displays and video/photography activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year. Generosity is Jakira’s favorite Source of Strength and she loves to help others. If Jakira had one wish, it would be for everyone to get along and make a real difference for the good in the world. An interesting fact about Jakira, she would like to major in psychology and business in college.

    Alexander Sticha

    stichaAnother Peer Leader at HHS for Sources of Strength is Alexander Sticha- Alexander is a 16 year old junior at HHS. Alexander enjoys reading, music and painting. When asked how he would describe Sources of Strength to a friend, Alexander said “a program trying to destigmatize mental health issues”. Alexander is interested in helping with art displays and all school activities planning for Sources of Strength campaigns this semester. Alexander values his alone time and enjoys many healthy activities in a solitary environment. If granted one wish, Alexander would wish for less discourse and more acceptance of the identities of all human beings. Alexander brings creative ideas to his role as a peer leader.

       Anna Jackson

    Anna is an 18 year old senior at HHS.  Anna’s hobbies include art, flower pressing, the occasional experimental baking and gardening.  Anna would describe Sources of Strength as “A group that tries to get the word out on what you could do to help you cope with emotions and life.  It also tries to connect with the community and interact by doing activities just to try to bring people together.”  Anna is interested in helping with classroom integration, art displays, all school activities  and social media activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year.  Anna feels strongest in her Family Support Source of Strength.  Family plays a huge role in Anna’s life.  The support of Anna’s family helps her “keep it together”.  When asked if she had one wish, Anna said “There are many things I would wish for, but I guess I would have to just wish that people would stop being so rude and cruel to each other.  In our society there are too many terrible things, and one of them should not be the way people treat others.  So, I’d wish for kindness.”  Anna is a great peer leader and role model for other students. 

    ian   Ian Malloy-

    Ian is a 17 year old senior at HHS. Ian enjoys wrestling, baseball, lifting, and watching sports with his Dad. Ian would describe Sources of Strength as “a student-led organization focused on improving the morale and spirits of those in need as well as providing support to those in need”. Ian is interested in helping with classroom integration and social media activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year. Ian’s favorite Source of Strength is physical activities. If Ian had one wish, he would like to play in the NFL. Ian brings positive energy to peer leader meetings.

    Chloe Martinicic

    martincicChloe is a 15 year old sophomore at HHS.  Chloe’s hobbies include reading, dancing, playing tennis and cooking.  When asked how she would describe Sources of Strength to a friend, she said as peer leaders, “We help connect our peers to the resources they need.”  Chloe plans to be involved in all school activities planning an SoS peer leader this year.  Chloe’s “favorite” Source of Strength is Positive Friends.  Chloe believes that having positive friends can make a big difference in people’s lives.  If Chloe had one wish, she said “That everyone would be a part of Sources of Strength because it is an important and helpful program.”  Chloe always makes positive contributions to meetings and discussions as an SoS peer leader!

     

    Mitchell Cunningham-

    mitchellMitchell is a 14 year old freshman at HHS.  Mitchell would describe Sources of Strength as a fun way to get to know some people and a way to get help and help others.  Mitchell is interested in helping with classroom integration, activities planning, video/photography, and social media activities for Sources of Strength campaigns.  Mitchell’s favorite Source of Strength is physical activity.  If Mitchell had one wish, he would like to be a professional soccer player and thinks that it would be a lot of fun.  Mitchell is a great participant and competitive game player in Peer Leader meetings.

    Gage is a 17 year old senior at HHS.  Gage’s interests include music, nature and technology.  Gage describes Sources of Strength as a new program that helps educate people on the Sources of Strength available in their community.  Gage plans to help with social media activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year.  Gage’s favorite Source of Strength is Generosity.  Gage loves doing acts of generosity and feels good when helping others.  If Gage had one wish, he would love to see the environment be saved.  Gage is a very active and positive Peer Leader for Sources of Strength.

     

    Mia Sherer-

    miaMia is a 17 year old senior at HHS.  Mia’s hobbies include singing, journaling, instruments and hanging out with friends.  Mia would describe Sources of Strength to a friend as a suicide prevention group that focuses on strength and recovery rather than suffering.  Mia plans to help with art, video/photography, social media and audio activities for Sources of Strength this semester.  Mia has a close circle of Positive Friends, which is her favorite Source of Strength.  If Mia had one wish, she would wish for the world to become more understanding of people and differences.  A fun fact about Mia, this year will be the 10th year she has been involved in the musical. 

     

    Cooper Law-

    cooperCooper is a 16 year old sophomore at HHS.  Cooper’s hobbies include baseball and playing the guitar.  Cooper would describe Sources of Strength as helping others find reasons and ways to keep going when they need strength.  Cooper is interested in working on video/photography, social media and audio activities for Sources of Strength Campaigns this year.  Cooper’s favorite Source of Strength is Positive Friends.  If Cooper had one wish, he would wish for world peace.  Cooper is a good peer leader and always willing to help others.

     

    Sara Milanos-

    saraSara is a 14 year old freshman at HHS.  Sara enjoys reading and sports.  Sara would describe Sources of Strength to a friend as a group to help others with tough things.  Sara would like to help with art, mural and wall displays and video/photography activities for Sources of Strength this year.  Sara’s favorite Source of Strength is positive friends and she has many positive friends who always have her back.  If Sara had one wish, she would wish for everyone to have a “lesson learned” moment when they realize they can overcome hard things they are going through.  A fun fact about Sara is that she still has family in Greece.

    Summer Smith-

    Summer Smith is a 16-year-old junior at HHS.  Summer’s hobbies include advocating for mental health, lifting weights and volunteering.  Summer feels that Sources of Strength celebrates the diversity of studesummernts by sharing stories of recovery and strength from struggling times.  Summer plans to be involved with Classroom Integration and audio: music and announcement activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this school year.  Summer’s “favorite” Source of Strength is Spirituality and says: “My faith has gotten me through everything, and without God I wouldn’t be able to be as strong as I am today!”  When asked if she had one wish, what would it be and why, Summer said “If I had one wish, I would wish that we would focus less on social media, and more on being positive towards ourselves.  I believe if we lived in the real world rather than the virtual world, we would be a much more loving, healthy, and positive community.”  Some fun facts about Summer, she is the Montgomery County Fair Queen and makes all of our Sources of Strength t-shirts on her own time outside of school.

     Saul Quiroz-

    Saul is a 17 year old junior at HHS.  Saul’s hobbies include singing, bank telling and playing instruments.  Saul would describe Sources of Strength to a friend as a program that helps students be connected with proper help.  Saul plans to be involved in video/photography, social media and audio activities for Sources of Strength activities this semester.  Saul’s “favorite” Source of Strength is the mental health source.  Saul believes that it is important for everyone to have easy access to mental health outlets.  If Saul had one wish, “I wish that people would be a lot more open minded in our community.”  A fun fact about Saul, his favorite articles of clothing are scarves and cardigans, and he wears them well. 

     

    Meagan Jorn-

    meaganMeagan is an 18 year old senior at HHS.  Meagan’s hobbies include golfing for HHS, cheering at HHS, and watching Netflix.  Meagan also enjoys hanging out with her friends.  Meagan would describe Sources of Strength to a friend as “a group of strong leaders that are friendly people that anyone can talk to about anything”.  Megan will be involved in video/photography and social media activities for Sources of Strength campaigns this year.  Meagan’s “favorite” Source of Strength is family support.  Meagan also feels like she is a part of many teams here at HHS which also give her strength and people to talk to.  If Meagan had one wish, she would wish for a million dollars.  A fun fact about Meagan, she likes to draw.  Meagan is a positive peer leader.  

    Isabella Harston-

    isabellaIsabella is a 16 year old junior at HHS.  Isabella’s hobbies include listening to music, helping out with her church youth group and Sources of Strength and playing games outside.  When asked how she would describe Sources of Strength to a friend, Isabella said “Sources of Strength is a group of friends and peer leaders who try and spread hope, strength, and help make a difference in society to talk about the wheel which includes, mental health, family support, positive friends, mentors, healthy activities, generosity, spirituality and physical health. Sources of Strength also help to make the school, and the community stronger.”  Isabella plans to work on social media activities for Sources of Strength campaigns as a peer leader this year.  Spirituality is Isabella’s “favorite” Source of Strength because she has a strong devotion to her faith.  Some fun facts about Isabella: she loves animals, reading and wants to be a marine biologist.
