• PHYSICAL EDUCATION

    THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

    UNIFORMS

    • must be athletic attire NO inappropriate ads or slogans.  

    -no sweatshirts will be allowed when the activity is inside. Long sleeved t-shirts will suffice.

    -if conditions call for sweat attire, BRING SOMETHING FOR P.E.

    -torn or cut off shirts and/or shorts must be replaced. 

    -uniforms are subject to the instructor’s approval. Example: t-shirts may not be low cut, keep it simple.

    -PE shirts may be available for purchase.

    -athletic shoes required—MUST HAVE FASTENERS no flip flops, sandals, crocs, boots, half shoes or “hey dudes”

               

    LOCKERS

    -each student will be given a locker and combination lock for personal belongings.

    -any abuse or misuses of the lock/locker will result in forfeiture of both.

     

    CLASS-TIME ALLOTMENT

    -students must be in the locker room when the tardy bell rings.

    -5 minutes following the tardy bell, students will be dressed and walking in the gym.

    -students will remain IN the gym and walk around the gym floor until the dismissal bell.

    -refer to the “late work” policy for more information.

     

     

    MEDICAL EXCUSES

    -only a note from a physician will excuse students from activity.  No “mommy” notes.

    -if the note exceeds 4 days the student is required to do an assignment during class.

    -any unfinished assignments will result in a zero for the day.

     

    EVALUATION

    -class will run on a point system as follows:

                +10 = daily points (+50 = weekly) participation, attitude, conduct and cooperation.

                            - 3 = Dress

                            - 7 = Behavior /Participation               

    -performance based skills testing will be administered at the midpoint and at the end of the semester.

    DISCIPLINE

    -NO CELL PHONES or devices on or in your ear! 

    - 1st offense - verbal warning

    - 2nd offense - confiscate phone and parent contact

    - 3rd offense - office referral

     

    *FLEX TIME

    -At student discretion for unexcused absences. Dress out, perform required tasks. *May also make up excused absences.

     

    RESTROOMS

    -this privilege may be revoked at any time due to vandalism or misuse of the facility.

     

     

     

     

    Zero Hour Fusion Expectations

     

    Class begins at 7:05 am  Sign in will take place in the lobby 

    Class is dismissed at 7:45.  You may not leave before I dismiss you.  

     

    Workout Areas

    Cardio Room

    • Make sure to be using the machine appropriately.  Make sure to set the time and level, don’t just sit on the machine. 

     

    Pool - Optional

    • RESERVE LAP LANE 24HRS IN ADVANCE

    • Lazy river

      • Walk against the current

    Track - 

    • Make sure to be paying attention to your surroundings, there are other guests trying to exercise.  

    • Should NOT be on phone while walking the track

     

    Free Weights

    • Work out must encompass entire class period 

    • Three set 10 reps 

    • May walk a lap on the track between lifts

     

    Gym

    • Only one day per week

    • If activities are not being completed, this can be taken away as an option

     

    Non-Workout Related Regulations

    Parking

    • Must park in the reserved parking spots for HHS students

    • When leaving and entering the parking lot DO NOT SPEED!!!!!

     

    Attendance

    • If you are more than 10 minutes late you will have 5 points taken away

    • Unexcused absences that are zero hour only will result in a zero.

     

    Courtesies

    • ALWAYS WIPE DOWN EQUIPMENT AFTER USE

    • Check shoes before entering-  clean shoes should be worn in workout areas

    • Report any damage that may occur during activity

    • Be respectful to other guests, watch your language. 

    • Please use the lobby bathroom and stay out of the locker room.
