Hey everyone! My name is Morgan Meade and I'm so excited about being your 8th grade Science teacher this year! We are going to learn a lot and have fun doing it!

I have been teaching since 2016. I love teaching junior high-age students because we can have fun exploring the world. Prior to being a Dragon, I taught 8th grade Science in Lincoln, Illinois for 2 years, 6th grade Science and Social Studies in Rochester, Illinois for 3 years, and 8th grade Language Arts for 1 year in Quincy, Illinois.

I obtained my Bachelor's degree from McKendree University in 2016 in Elementary Education with an English emphasis with middle school endorsements in English, General Science, and Social Studies. In 2020, I earned a Master's degree from the University of Illinois- Springfield in Educational Leadership with a Principalship Endorsement. Although English is my primary subject, Science is my passion and I love inquiring, collecting data, analyzing, and experimenting with students to build a passion and love for science in them.  

If I'm not at school, I am either spending time with my husband (getting married 10/11/24) and my dog Winnie, or at my second job.
