Welcome to 7th grade social studies at Hillsboro Junior High School.  I am a graduate of Hillsboro High School.  I earned my Associate of Arts degree from Lincoln Land Community College, my Bachelor of Arts degree in social work from Greenville College, and my Master of Arts in Teaching from Greenville College.  I have been with the district for the last eighteen years.  In that time, I taught 6th grade social studies, 7th grade social studies and literature, and 7th grade language arts.  I also taught second grade at Beckemeyer School for two years.  Prior to teaching, I spent thirteen years working with adolescents in a variety of social service programs and working with offenders within the Illinois Department of Corrections.  My family and I reside in the school district.  My husband and I are both graduates of HHS, as are both of our children.  We are so proud to be a part of this community.  It is an honor to live and teach here.  If you ever need to contact me, please call the school at 217-532-3742.  I can take calls before school, after school, or during my prep period, so please leave a message & I'll get back to you as soon as possible.
