This is my tenth year at HJHS. At the junior high level, I teach 6th grade choir and 7th/8th grade choir. At HHS, I direct Chamber Singers and Concert Choir and also teach a dual credit course entitled "Music in America." I am the director of the spring musical at HHS as well.
After discovering a love for teaching music in high school, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education at Millikin University. During my time at Millikin, I also developed a love of opera. I pursued my operatic career and graduated with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
In my free time, I enjoy singing opera, playing my flute, playing piano, and English dressage horseback riding, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our daughter, Emilynn. We also have three dogs - Mikie, Hugo, and Maggie.
