Welcome to 8th grade language arts! My name is Cati Barth, and I will be your language arts teacher this year. I earned my Bachelor's Degree in Elementary Education from Greenville University in 2016 and completed my Master's Degree in Curriculum & Instruction in 2021 at Eastern Illinois University. While this is my first year teaching at HJHS, it is my seventh year in education. I previously taught 5th-8th ELA for one year at Bartelso Elementary School and 5th grade ELA for five years at Carlyle Junior High School. I am so excited for this new adventure at HJHS!

In my free time, I enjoy being active, reading a book, or spending time with my husband, our son, and our two dogs.
