Welcome to music at Hillsboro Junior High School!
This is my 14th year at HJHS. At the junior high level, I teach 6th grade choir and 7th/8th grade choir. At HHS, I direct Chamber Singers and Concert Choir and also teach a dual credit course entitled "Music in America." Along with the "Dream Team," I direct our annual spring musical.
After discovering a love for teaching music in high school, I went on to earn my Bachelor of Music in Vocal Music Education at Millikin University. During my time at Millikin, I also developed a love of opera. I pursued my operatic career and graduated with a Master of Music in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University in Flagstaff, Arizona.
Outside of school, I enjoy spending time with my husband and daughter. Our three dogs - Hugo, Otis, and Sadie - keep us busy!
