I love being a problem solver, collaborating with others, and building belief and confidence in those around me.  My heart has always been in education and leadership.  I was a tutor, summer league volleyball coach, student council president, and team captain throughout high school.  Since then, I have taught kindergarten through calculus.  From Streator to Mt. Vernon and Galesburg to Mulberry Grove, I have spent most of my career as a middle school math teacher with a few years in middle school language arts.  I have coached volleyball, basketball, cheerleading, and track at the junior high level, and was a volleyball coach at Streator Township High School.  

My husband, an educational administrator, and I live in Greenville with our two high school children.  My daughter is a freshman in college and my son is a junior in high school.  Both of our children have been very active in athletics and fine arts.  We have two fur babies, coton de tulear mixes, Willie and Waylon. 

I am excited about getting to know more students and families from the community this year.  I look forward to partnering with each of you to make this a year of growth and success for our HJHS students.  Strong partnerships rely on effective communication.  When questions or concerns come up, please contact me so we can find solutions together.
