Welcome 7th Grade Dragons!

I am super excited to becoming back as a Dragon this year, again! Many of you knew me as a fifth grade teacher at Beckemeyer, but if you don't know me, I hope you will enjoy my sense of humor and class in general. Yes, Oreos will be around my room this year, as a good tradition never fades. This is my 27th year as a teacher, but my second year as a junior high teacher. Hopefully we can all finish out this year completely. Keeping my fingers crossed!

Throughout the years, I have worn many hats in the classroom. My career started in East Alton in a cross categorical classroom servicing grades 3-5 for 8 years, for 4 years I worked for Mid-State servicing students in 5th grade at Beckemeyer. For the past 13 years I taught 5th grade at Beckemeyer and had almost finished my first year as a 7th grade teacher. Life changes so quickly. 

As far as my family, I have a son named, Cameron, and he is going to be a sophmore this year. Wow, how time flies!! My husband, Kyle, works for the Piasa School District as their Superintendent. Hence, we are all starting a new adventure again this year with a pandemic that continues to linger.

I hope this school year will bring new adventures, laughs, food, and challenges. I'm looking forward to working with all students this year.
