Mrs. Kendra McSperritt

Hello and welcome to Miss Kendra's website!

I have been in this position as the Family Engagement Coordinator, since December of 2016.  I love being around children and working with families on any needed resources, along with being a positive support person for them.

I graduated from Hillsboro High School in 1998, then went on to Lincoln Land Community College.  Finally, I completed my Bachelors Degree in Psychology with a minor in Teacher Education in 2003 at University of Illinois at Springfield.  I continued my education at Greenville College and received my endorsement in Special Education in 2005.  I taught 2 years at Pana Junior High School as a Special Education Teacher, and then 2 more years at Hillsboro Junior High School.  In 2009, I became a stay-at-home mom, until 2013.  I had been a substitute in all areas of early childhood - junior high up until my current position.

I am married to my high school sweetheart, Michael McSperritt.  We have three children who keep us very active in sports and extra-curricular activities.  Our son Drake is a junior at HHS, and we have two daughters: Mikenna, a freshman at HHS, and Kendael, in 7th grade at HJHS.

I love to volunteer and help out in the community wherever I am needed.  I am currently in charge of the HHS Sports Boosters and co-chair of the Christmas Clothing Drive.  Our children keep us busy going to sporting events(which I wouldn't trade for anything - I love sports), but in my free time I enjoy spending time with family and friends, glamping(Camper camping only), reading and travelling.
