    THINGS YOU NEED TO KNOW

    UNIFORMS

-colors for shirts, orange and shorts, black. They shall consist of a solid color with no inappropriate ads or slogans.

    * Colors worn other than the 2 listed above will result in a zero for the day.

-leggings are allowed - may not be the same ones worn to school.

-no sweatshirts will be allowed when the activity is inside. Long sleeved t-shirts will suffice.

-if conditions call for sweat attire, shirts must be gray and pants must be black.

-torn or cut off shirts and/or shorts must be replaced.

-uniforms are subject to the instructor’s approval. Example: t-shirts may not be low cut, keep it simple. . .

-students are given the choice to dress and will be offered "rentals" if they do not possess the proper uniform.

-athletic shoes are required—no flip flops, sandals or half shoes are allowed.

-DO NOT WEAR THE CLOTHES WORN TO SCHOOL AS P.E. UNIFORM! This will result in a no dress.

    LOCKERS

-each student will be provided with a locker and combination lock.

-any abuse or misuses of the lock/locker will result in forfeiture of both.

-items stolen from a locker that is not locked exemplifies that crime pays.

    CLASS-TIME ALLOTMENT

-students must be in the locker room when the tardy bell rings.

-5 minutes following the tardy bell, students will be dressed and in their assigned seats.

-students will be given the option to shower.

    - students will remain IN the gym until the dismissal bell.

*PLEASE WALK AROUND THE GYM FLOOR WHEN NOT IN CLASS

    MEDICAL EXCUSES

-only a note from a physician will excuse students from activity. No "mommy" notes.

-if the note exceeds 4 days the student is required to write a ½ page report for each day missed.

-any unfinished assignments will result in a zero for the day.

    EVALUATION

-class will run on a point system as follows:

+25 = daily points (+125 = weekly) participation, attitude, conduct and cooperation.

    -5 = tardy

    -20 = random indiscretions

-25 = UN (unexcused absence) 6 UN = final exam.

-30 % of semester out of class due to injury or illness (12+ excused absences)= final exam

    13+ days absent/semester = final exam

-125 = 1 ND (no dress) and final exam -- a call home will also be policy.

-skills testing will be administered when the activity lends itself such testing.

-written tests will be issued at the conclusion of each unit.

    - if no NDs and are taken and UNs are below 6 in the SEMESTER there will be no final exam for that individual.

    DISCIPLINE

-NO CELL PHONES! They will be taken to the main office and a zero will be issued for the day in addition to a referral. No questions.

-should disciplinary action become necessary, a choice will always* be provided. *this will be within reason.

-Cheating on a written test will get a zero for a score and the requirement of taking the final exam.

-Upon taking a "no dress" parents will be notified.
