• Culinary Arts II students toured the milling and manufacturing of Hodgson Mills in Effingham after studying grains and preparing various recipes using different types of grains. The manager of quality assurance guided students through the entire process of a grain product from accepting and testing grain to the shipping of the final product to consumers. the mill manufacturers approximately 100 different products that are distributed around the world.  Students also toured the Hodgson Mills Mercantile where they participated in a grain activity, product sampling, and learned about the location of the sales, marketing, and customer service departments.
