Tryouts for the Lady Dragon Basketball team begin the first day the IESA allows practice, usually the Tuesday after Labor Day. The season consists of the preseason Fall Hoop Classic hosted by Hillsboro Junior High School, sixteen regular season games, and the season ending state series of tournaments. The season runs from the second week of school to December. Grade eligibility is checked weekly.
