Through ninety-nine seasons of Topper basketball from 1906-2005, Hillsboro compiled 1321 wins and 1090 losses.

The first season of Topper basketball was played in 1906. Hillsboro played its first ever game at home against Raymond on December 14th, 1906. HHS won that game 14-6.

Hillsboro's 100th victory came in the 1918-1919 season, when G. Rademacher coached the Toppers. The 100-win game was a 22-15 victory over Shelbyville.

The 500th Topper basketball win occurred in the 1941-1942 season in Hillsboro's first game of the Pana Invitational Tournament against Kincaid. The final score of that game was 33-23.

The 1000th win in Hillsboro basketball history occurred under the coaching direction of Harland Scheibal in the 1977-1978 season. The victory occurred in the championship game of the Carlinville Holiday Tournament on December 30th, 1977. The Toppers beat Litchfield in the game 95-58.
