On Saturday, Jan. 19, 2008, nine HJHS band students attended the 2008 Middle School Band Festival at Eastern Illinois University in Charleston, IL.  Students selected for this festival spent the day practicing, presenting a concert at the end of the day.  Students were split into two bands, one for seventh grade, and one for eighth grade.  Nationally known band composers Timothy Loest and Michael Sweeney were the guest conductors for the festival.  Congratulations to all who were selected!
