Dr. David Darda (Class of 1975) and Brian Graden (Class of 1981) have been selected as co-recipients of the 2004 Distinguished Alumni Award presented by the Hillsboro Educational Foundation. They were honored during the Foundation's annual banquet held on June 17, 2004 at the Church Street Pub in Hillsboro.

Dr. Darda resides in Ellensburg, WA, and is a professor and chairman of the Department of Biological Sciences at Central Washington University where he has been on the faculty since 1987 and a full professor since 1997. He earned his Bachelor of Science degree in 1980 from the University of Illinois and Ph.D. in zoology from University of California, Berkeley, in 1988.

Mr. Graden resides in Santa Monica, CA, and is president of entertainment for MTV and VH1. He earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Oral Roberts University, Tulsa, OK, and a Masters of Business Administration from Harvard University Business School.
